The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) New York City Housing Authority has chosen Danny Tisdale, CEO and Founder of 10 year old Harlem World Magazine and visual artist to receive a Distinguished Leadership Award at their Fifth Annual Awards Reception celebrating the Continuing Achievement of community leaders.
The theme “The Game Changer’s Next Move” celebrates organizations and individual leaders who have empowered their community through the Five Game Changes: Civic Engagement, Criminal Justice, Economic Development, Education and Health through their everyday works and life story. The NYCHA Branch of the NAACP through its citywide membership has benefited from the recipients work and other honorees have done throughout their career and uses the award ceremony to honor them.
The award ceremony will be held on Friday, November 1, 2013 from 7:00 pm to 1:00 am at the Alhambra Ballroom 2116 Adam Clayton Powell Boulevard, New York, NY 10027.
